On June 30, 2021, the moment the World Health Organization announced that China had successfully eliminated malaria, I burst into tears and paid for my career for nearly 40 years, especially the struggle for nearly ten years.

my country used to be a serious country with malaria, with an annual number of patients exceeding 30 million. In 1983, I still had 3 million cases nationwide when I graduated from school. I had a dream at that time to reduce this number to 0, which became my goal. To this end, I am not afraid of dirty or suffering. I go to the countryside every summer to squat, and conduct a source of infection sources during the daytime. Essence I also strive to study the pathogenesis mechanism of severe malaria pathogenesis and new antimalarial drugs, and study new strategies, new technologies and methods for malaria prevention and treatment.

Since 2010, I have participated in the formulation and implementation of the country's malaria action plan throughout the process. I studied with the experts of experts found that the stage of malaria elimination and control was significantly different in terms of goals, strategies, key measures and key groups. "Find the source of infection, traceable infection, and timely cutting the transmission chain as soon as possible" is the three core elements that eliminate malaria. We combined with the characteristics of Plasmodium biology and pathogenesis dynamics. "Source" is the core of "1-3-7" to eliminate new malaria strategies. This strategy has been promoted nationwide since 2013, and was included in the "National Organization Plan (2016-2020)" in 2015, becoming one of the national standards to eliminate malaria strategy, and as one of the national standards "Malaria Control and Elimination Standards" Essence At present, the new strategy has been incorporated into the "China Plan" as the "China Plan" of the WHO as the "China Plan" to eliminate malaria technical guidelines to the world. Although my country has no local malaria since 2016, hundreds of millions of people in the world are infected with malaria every year, and hundreds of thousands of people die from malaria. To this end, the team of experts and I studied and re -spread risk classification and countermeasures, and formulated the state to prevent input and re -propagation technical solutions after eliminating malaria.
