On August 10, Liu Weiping, deputy minister of the Ministry of Water Resources, revealed at the progress of the construction and results of the water conservancy infrastructure held by the Ministry of Water Resources that as of the end of July, the investment in water conservancy construction was 567.5 billion yuan, an increase of 71.4%over the same period last year.

"The Ministry of Water Resources fully promotes the construction of water conservancy infrastructure. On the basis of the first half of the year, the water conservancy construction has achieved important progress, and the Ministry of Water Resources will continue to expand water conservancy investment in conjunction with the local area. At the end of the month, 25 new water conservancy projects started, and the iconic major water conservancy projects such as the South -to -North Water Diversion Middle Line and the second phase of the Huaihe River entering the sea waterway were started on schedule. ; Water conservancy construction investment was 567.5 billion yuan, an increase of 71.4%over the same period last year; the construction of water conservancy projects was 1.61 million, of which 1.233 million were migrant workers.

Earlier, the State Council Executive Meeting pointed out that this year, a batch of projects that have been included in the planned and mature conditions, including major water citations such as the South -to -North Water Diversion project, the backbone flood prevention and disaster reduction, the reinforcement of the diseased reservoir, the construction of the irrigation area, and the transformation of the irrigation area. These projects plus other water conservancy projects can invest about 800 billion yuan throughout the year.
