In 2000, Qinghai Province established Sanjiangyuan Nature Reserve. In 2003, it was upgraded to a national nature reserve.

In 2004, in accordance with the requirements of the ecological protection and construction of Sanjiangyuan, some of the villagers in Tanggula Mountain Town were classified as grass and livestock balance households and stayed locally; part of them were classified as prohibited herds, and ecological relocation was implemented on the basis of voluntary.

In 2010, the second batch of more than 100 grass and livestock balance households also relocated to Golmud Tongjiangyuan Village. Ecological immigrants in Zangyuan Township, Yangtze River became a footnote for the development of the new era.

There are 172 grassland ecological pipe guards and 33 wetland ecological pipe guards in Yangtze River Village.

For more than 10 years, by setting up grass and local regions, and strictly controlling animal capacity, the ecological environment of the Yangtze River source has been effectively curbed. The vegetation of the Yangtze River source has resumed significantly, the water source conservation capacity has been improved as a whole. The rate reaches 100%, Tibetan antelopes, Tibetan wild donkeys and many other national first -class wild protection animals are in groups of tourists.

The fourth webmaster of the Sonanda Nature Protection Station, Long Zhoucai, said that only the Tibetan Antelope of the Cocoic Nature Reserve in the Cocoic Nature Reserve of 45,000 square kilometers has increased from less than 20,000 years ago to 70,000 today.

Qiu Pezhai, the head of the Zhuo Naihu Protection Station of the National Nature Reserve of Coco, said that the number of Tibetan antelopes as the basic species has increased, and the number of wild donkeys, wild yaks, wolves, snow leopards, and even crows in the Yangtze River has increased significantly.
