[2022 summer series of research activities] The Turpan Museum conducts a special lecture on the "Hometown of Jiaohe"

In order to promote the excellent traditional culture of China and let the majority of teenagers explore the history of Turpan from different angles, recently, the Turpan Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department, the Turpan Education Working Committee, and the Turpan Museum jointly conducted a special lecture on the "Old City of Jiaohe". 20 students from the First Primary School, Third Primary School, and Sixth Primary School of Gaochang District participated in the event.

At the beginning of the lecture, the museum community education teacher introduced the geographical location, historical background, architectural characteristics, and humanistic value to the students of the Hometown City of Jiaohe in an easy -going language. The old city of Jiaohe is the central town of Turpan, the Silk Road of the Silk Road, the 2nd to the 14th century AD. It is the largest, oldest, most complete soil structure in the world. Here, the vicissitudes of wind and rain for more than 2,000 years have been preserved to this day, showing the rise and fall of ancient Turpan civilization. It has significant value in politics, culture, history, and art. The students were very serious, and at the end of the lecture, the teacher interacted with the teacher, which further deepened the impression of the historical and culture of the old city of Jiaohe.

Through this lecture, the students learned from different levels to understand the old city of Jiaohe, further interpret Turpan history and culture, and stimulated the awareness of the cultural relics protection of students.
