Xu Ruma was born in March 1932. It was Shangyu, Zhejiang. Although he was full of suffering and war, he did not give up any opportunities for learning. In 1949, Xu Ren was admitted to the Department of Chemistry of Fudan University and transferred to the Department of Chemistry, Shanghai Jiaotong University a year later. After graduating from college in 1952, Xu Ruren went to the Northeast with the enthusiasm of supporting the frontier and serving the motherland. The predecessor of the university) taught the Department of Chemistry and opened his life for his life. Under the leadership of the older generation of chemists such as Cai Yisheng, Tang Aoqing, Guan Shizhi, Tao Muxun, Xu Run people participated in the hard work and chemistry of the establishment of the department and became the earliest membership of the Department of Chemistry of Jilin University and the construction of the development of chemistry disciplines. In 1985, after graduating from high school, I entered the Department of Chemistry of Jilin University after graduating from high school. Xu Ren is not only a mentor of my scientific research, but also the mentor of my life. I am deeply influenced by Mr. Xu. After becoming a teacher, I have been educating my students like this. I have to be a person and then learn.

People are low -key and humble, respectful and polite. Whether it is to deal with students, teachers, or strangers, Xu Ruren has always been amiable. Xu Ren has always advocated peaceful and far away, never fighting for fame. He often tells us that you must do everything you can, don't care about gains and losses, let alone complain, and learn tolerance for people. In the age of difficult conditions, Xu Run still insisted on scientific research.

Doing knowledge is cautious, especially rigorous. When I was a graduate student, I discovered the microporous crystal structure of the cation skeleton, breaking the traditional concept of the past molecular sieve. In order to confirm the accuracy of the results, Mr. Xu Ruman asked me to repeat one year of experiments. In 2015, for the first time, we found that the hydroxy -based free radicals were stored in the water heat synthesis system of the boiler molecular sieve, and it could significantly accelerate the crystallization of the boiler molecule sieve.

Learning knowledge is a model for teaching and educating people. Xu Ruma attaches great importance to classroom teaching, and advocates that as teachers first to give a good class. He has performed as a leader, and has led to undergraduates and graduate students to lecture on basic courses and professional courses such as ordinary chemistry, inorganic chemistry, modern chemistry, rare element chemistry, inorganic synthetic chemistry, solid chemistry, and molecular sieve science. Mr. Xu is good at inspiring teaching and flexibly integrates scientific research achievements and scientific research ideas in classroom teaching. This also deeply affects me. Since 2019, I have led the team members to establish a forward -looking undergraduate course system, open an undergraduate "Scientific Practice Course", introduce international cutting -edge results into classroom teaching, and realize feeding teaching with scientific research.

Life is constantly enriching scientific theory and writing. Xu Ruman has formed a unique knowledge system in the field of molecular screening and inorganic synthetic chemistry. "Molecular screening and porous material chemistry" and "inorganic synthesis and preparation chemistry" are still the treasurer of chemicals. In the past two decades, Xu Ruman has been taking books. He is not used to typing with a computer and keeps writing. He has to spend four or five hours of handwriting the manuscript for four or five hours every day. I followed Mr. Xu Ren to participate in writing three or four books. Each time he wrote a book, he said, "This is the last one", but once you have a new idea, there is a strong pleasure that the publishing house can be re -to -quote or again. When writing some new books, Mr. Xu insisted on writing. Xu Run feels that even if he is bitter and tired, as long as he can provide knowledge for future generations, it is worth it. His spirit of dedication to the dedication of science is from his love of science, so he is happy.

Far -looking, dare to be the first. In the 1980s, under the leadership of Xu Run, we took the lead in conducting the most systematic research on the three important basic issues in the development of molecular sieve science, including creating new synthetic routes, pioneering new molecular sieves, system research molecular sieves and micro -holes Crystal crystallization mechanism, design and directional synthesis of specific structural molecular sieves. Especially for the design and directional synthesis of specific structural molecular sieves, Xu Ren is the first internationally proposed person in this scientific issue, leading and promoting the development of molecular engineering in molecular engineering at home and abroad. In traditional synthesis, the research and development of functional materials mainly depends on the repetitive experiments of researchers. As early as the 1980s, Xu Ruman felt keenly aware that inorganic synthesis could not always be blindly synthesized like cooking. The discovery of new materials must be settled to the road of design synthesis. The directional design synthesis is to design, cut and modify the structure with function -oriented, and finally realize the directional synthesis, preparation and assembly of the specified performance and structural materials. In 1998, I returned to China after a post -doctoral research, and I was engaged in the directional design of functional materials with Mr. Xu Runren. Mr. Xu Ruman often told me that doing research must be aimed at the forefront and occupy the heights. I have to think of what others have done before. Mr. Xu Run's words provided me with a very good inspiration for scientific research. For molecular sieve materials, it can be said to be a huge challenge to achieve targeted design synthesis. At that time, the study of molecular sieve research was in the bottleneck period, especially the emergence of hotspot materials such as media materials, metal-organic skeleton (MOF), which made many people give up the research of the traditional material of molecular sieve, but Xu Ren was unable to shake. In order to find the synthesis law of molecular sieves, Xu Ren let us start with the most basic work, invested a lot of time system summary of literature work, and created the first molecular sieve into a database in the world. Through unremitting efforts and persistence, we have a unique approach on the molecular sieve formation route. Internationally proposed a new route based on the combination of theoretical simulation, computer data mining, and high -throughput experiments. The synthetic method has successfully synthesized several new molecular sieves, which achieved a breakthrough in my country's new structure in molecular sieve topics. Xu Ruman has been in the nine ranks, and his thinking is extremely agile. He still devotes himself to his love of science and think about the frontiers of science. He went to the laboratory every week to communicate with us. When he talked about academic issues, he was immediately trembling and full of passion. It can be seen that it was a kind of love from the heart. Today, Xu Ruman also determines the establishment of emerging disciplines -condensing state chemistry, pushing the construction of chemical disciplines to a new height. Recently, Mr. Xu Ruman is going to write a monograph on the condensation of state of chemistry that has been thinking carefully in recent years.

Li Zi, everyone sitting around the Lizi tree together, saying unrestrainedly like a family member, that kind of joy is really a rare enjoyment, we are like a happy family.
