In the ancient times of Linzhang, it was called "曾". It was Cao Wei, Later Zhao, Ran Wei, Qianyan, Eastern Wei Dynasty, and the capital of the Northern Qi Dynasty. From the end of the Western Han Dynasty, Buddhism was introduced to China, and in the Han and Jin dynasties, Buddhism gradually developed in Wucheng so that after the Zhao period, the Buddhist prosperity of the Castle was in the Zhao period. According to historical records, at that time, there were more than 30,000 temples across the country, and there were about 2 million monks and nuns. There were 4,000 temples and 80,000 monks. Since then, Tancheng has become the center of northern Buddhism.

The theme of the "Linzhang Buddha Statue Museum" has an area of more than 8,000 square meters, and the exhibition area is about 2690 square meters. There are four exhibition halls. The system shows the four themes of "archeological excavation and research", "Buddhism eastward", "During the Northern Wei Dynasty, and the decline and honor of Buddhism in the city." Nearly 200 cultural relics are displayed in the museum. The main collection of the collection system of the northern Wuzhuang Buddha in the east of the northern Wuzhuang Buddha in the east of the Northern Wuzhuang Site in 2012 is part of the cultural relics unearthed from the northern Wei Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty.

Why are there so many exquisite Buddhist statues being destroyed and buried here? Then I have to talk about the "difficulty of establishing virtue and law" in history. "The Emperor Wuwen of the Northern Zhou Dynasty was destroyed in the three years (574 AD), and the Buddha was destroyed for five years. It was another heavy blow.

According to Shi Zai: When the Northern Zhou Dynasty abolished the Buddha of the Northern Zhou Dynasty, it confiscated more than 40,000 temples in Bazhou, and served as the house of the emperor and aristocracy.

Although it has experienced such a heavy cultural disaster in history, after the excavation and repair of professionals, today we see that these statues are still convinced by the wisdom and craftsmanship of the ancestors.
