525 cases of new crown pneumonia epidemic in Hainan this round of new crown pneumonia

Xinhua News Agency, Haikou, August 6th (Reporter Xia) The reporter learned from the headquarters of the New Crown Pneumonia Epidemic in Hainan Province that since the discovery of the confirmed cases on Sanya on August 1, the epidemic situation has developed rapidly. As of 12:00 on August 6, there were 525 confirmed cases of new crown pneumonia in the province, with a total of 10 cities and counties reporting confirmed cases, of which 455 cases in Sanya City; 121 asymptomatic infections, involving 7 cities and counties.

On the 5th, the National Joint Defense and Control Mechanism Comprehensive Group sent a working group to guide Hainan's epidemic prevention and control. The team supported by the State Council ’s joint defense and control mechanism of the State Council has successively arrived in Hainan, and the joint working mechanism of the national, provincial, and municipal (county) joint work mechanisms has been established rapidly to coordinate external prevention input, internal defense rebound and spillover.

According to reports, Hainan will conduct a total nucleic acid testing, quickly divide and announce the high -risk zone, and take scientific control measures; do a good job of tourist comfort and service, properly handle regional management and control of traces of trapped passenger outlying islands evacuation and citizens' living materials protection.

At present, Hainan has completed the first round of nucleic acid testing of 330,000 fishermen along the province. The next step will speed up the tracking and notification of sea aquatic products outside the fishing port of Yazhou Center to prevent viruses from spreading through the infomptic seawater products.
