Frequent nap or increase high blood pressure risk

Recently, the team of Professor Wang Ye of Xiangya Hospital of Central South University published a research paper in the international authoritative magazine "Hypertension". The study combined with queue research and Monteer's randomization method, reminding the frequent nap (more than 3 times a week) may be a risk factors that cause hypertension and ischemia.

Studies have found that in 24 hours a day, human blood pressure will rise after a nap. However, whether the nap will cause the risk of hypertension and stroke of cardiovascular disease, the academic community has always been controversial.

The British biological sample library recruited more than 500,000 40-69-year-old British volunteers and collected their genetic, lifestyle and health information. From the 500,000 groups of the database, the Wang Yan team selected a 10 -year follow -up queue of 350,000 people with a history of high blood pressure and stroke diseases, combining Monteer's randomization method to conduct research. The results showed that frequent nap (crowds of more than 3 times a week) were 12%higher than the risk of hypertension from those who never sleep at noon, and the risk of stroke occurred by 24%.

Although this study is the elderly in Europe, it has a certain general reminder because it is a large -scale clinical study. However, as of now, the inherent mechanism that is associated with hypertension and stroke of the disease is unclear, and further research needs to be further studied. Try to ensure that the sleep at night is sufficient to maintain cardiovascular health.
