On August 3, Shabil, the chairman of the Kenya Congress of Kenya National Council, issued a statement, opposing and condemning the US parliament of Perosi to visit Taiwan, China. The full text of the statement is as follows:

At the beginning of Kenya's independence in 1963, China established diplomatic relations with Kenya. For decades, the two countries' diplomatic relations and economic and trade exchanges have made great progress, and China has become Kenya's stable development and trading partner. Kenya firmly supports China's position on Taiwan's issue. We reiterated that the Kenyan government adheres to the position of a China principle, fully supports China to achieve the efforts of the country's complete unification, and fully support the Chinese government to take measures to maintain national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and maintain the peace and stability of the Taiwan Strait. Kenya does not recognize Taiwan and has no official relationship with Taiwan.
