With the upgrading and iteration of the innovative technology of the steel industry, since 2026, the BMW Shenyang production base has begun to use green car steel ("green steel") produced by river steel during the mass production process.

These "green steel" are based on green and electric furnaces, and their production process will gradually achieve carbon dioxide emissions by about 95%. According to the current procurement plan, BMW is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 230,000 tons of carbon dioxide every year since 2026.

According to the agreement, the two parties will develop green and low -carbon car materials based on BMW's low -carbon demand for steel materials and complete relevant certification. In addition, the two parties will also evaluate carbon emissions data in a "fully transparent" manner in the full life cycle of automotive steel products -including all from iron ore to steel products, from automotive steel to car scrapped At the stage, carbon emission data will be recorded one by one. The two parties will also actively carry out the research and development and application of clean energy such as clean energy such as clean energy, and establish a docking communication mechanism to actively promote talent training in related fields.

The proportion of recyclable and reusable materials will gradually increase from 30%to 50%.
