In 2017, the "Overall Plan for the Comprehensive Governance and Ecological Repair" jointly issued by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Water Resources, and the State Forestry Administration was officially implemented, which opened a new round of Yongding River governance. In the past five years, under the coordination leadership group of the comprehensive governance and ecological restoration department of Yongding River, after the joint efforts of all parties of the basin, the collaborative governance mechanism of the basin has been continuously improved, and various tasks have been solidly advanced. Data show that as of the end of 2021, the Yongding River Comprehensive Governance had approved a total of 18.574 billion yuan, and 56 projects started construction, and the river governance was nearly 700 kilometers. In 2021, the "Evaluation Report" conducted water quality assessment of the upper and lower reaches of the Yongding River and the dry tributary of 1632.7 kilometers. The results showed that the Yongding River was 1333.7 kilometers in length and above the river, accounting for 81.7%of the evaluation river length. Compared with 2016, the proportion increased by 47.7%. The standard rate of the water function area of ​​the basin increased to 85.4%, and the water conservation capacity was also increasing simultaneously.
