A few days ago, Chaozhou Customs issued a certificate of "China Foreign Trade Export Pilot Index Investigation Sample Enterprise" to eight companies in the jurisdiction.

It is understood that China's foreign trade export pilot index is a comprehensive index that has a predictive and early warning effect on the export situation in the next 2-3 months, and is an important part of the customs statistical index system. Customs conduct a network questionnaire survey on sample companies monthly to obtain specific indicators including corporate micro -activities including foreign trade enterprises' new export order indexes, export manager confidence indexes and export enterprises comprehensive cost changes.

It is worth mentioning that the survey of sample companies is the basis for effective preparation of the pilot index. According to the principles of stability, persistence, representativeness, and randomness, the General Administration of Customs adopts random sampling methods of sub -layering and layering.
