In the past, Chinese pig farming was concentrated in northern regions with sufficient land and food. The provinces in the south of the consumer area mainly relied on provinces to protect pork supply. In the past, pig farming and feed production and slaughter were usually developed separately. The annual output of a conventional feed plant is usually around 180,000 tons, and it can only be built on a large -scale farm. The slaughterhouse is restricted by environmental protection, and it can only be selected within the scope of the government and builds according to the number of plans.

Building a pig farming model is more conducive to the development of the entire industry chain and is also encouraged by policy. In 2021, the State Council announced the revised "Regulations on the Management of Pig slaughter", which proposed that "the state encourages pig breeding, slaughtering, processing, distribution, and sales of integrated development."

Liu Xiaodong analyzed that because industrial projects have a stronger tax ability than agricultural projects, food processing projects are naturally welcomed in various places. Zheng Chengzhi believes that from the perspective of the industry average, the complete cost per catty of pigs raising pigs is about 10%higher than traditional pig farms. In the investor activity record disclosed in March 2022, Wen's shares stated that the company's building pig farming project has not yet been put into production and is still exploring the experimental stage. In the future, it will not take building pigs as the main development direction.
