Ezhou Huahu Airport was approved in February 2018. The project is positioned as a freight hub, passenger branch line, public platform, and aviation base. The total investment is about 33 billion yuan. The shipping throughput of 3.3 million tons is designed. The terminal and transfer centers are designed by the target design of 1 million passengers in 2025 and 2.45 million tons of cargo and postal throughput. Huahu Airport has completed the school flight on January 24 this year. The test flight was completed on March 20. On April 28, the first batch of industry acceptance was passed, and the third batch of completion acceptance was passed on June 1.

According to the relevant person in charge of Hubei International Logistics Airport Co., Ltd., after the currently put into use, the first batch of 6 passenger routes including Ezhou to Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Xiamen, Chongqing, Chengdu and other 6 passenger routes.
