322 natural protective spaces at or above the provincial level in Hubei Province

On July 29, in 2022, Hubei Province's joint meeting of illegal trading of wild animals and plants in Hubei Province was held in Han. 17 member units attended the meeting.

Since 2021, the members of the joint meeting have jointly launched special actions such as the "Qingfeng Action" and "Net Sword Action" in the province to form a strong joint force for the supervision of law enforcement of wild animals and plants. This year, all member units have strengthened the supervision and inspection of the illegal trade of wild animals and plants, and achieved significant results. On March 28, the Provincial Forestry Bureau, the State Forestry Bureau's Commissioner's Office in Wuhan, the Provincial Agricultural and Rural Department, and the Provincial Market Supervision Bureau jointly issued the "Letter to Strengthen the Strikes of illegal Optical Collection and Trading" for the Style of Wild Orchids. Illegal collection and transactions are listed and supervised. The Provincial Public Security Department has recently cracked a case of hazarding the country's key protection of wild botanical cases, arrested 15 suspects, more than 210,000 wild blue grass, and recovered 3,649 plants. The Provincial Forestry Bureau has successively transferred 160 clues to the illegal cases of wild and plants to the forestry authorities in various places, and followed up and supervised.

While cracking down on illegal trade of wild animals and plants, our province has comprehensively strengthened the protection of wild plants and their habitats.

As of now, 322 natural protection sites at or above the provincial level have been established, with an area of ​​1.888 million hectares, accounting for 10.16%of the total land area of ​​the province. Ecosystems; special surveys of 12 rare and endangered species including forest musk, Chinese Xiaoyu, Gold Sculpture, Pangolin, Baihe He, and Green Tauch Duck; set up 131 monitoring points.
