Xinhua News Agency, Hong Kong, June 15th (Reporter Su Wanming) In the latest "2022 World Competitive Annual Report" (referred to as the annual report) of the Lausanne International Management Development Institute in Switzerland, Hong Kong ranked seventh from the world last year to fifth. Denmark ranked first, subsequently Switzerland, Singapore and Sweden.

Among the four competitive factors of the annual report, Hong Kong continued to rank well in "government efficiency" and "business efficiency", and the rankings of "economic performance" and "infrastructure" also increased. In terms of sub -factor, Hong Kong's "commercial regulations" continue to rank first in the world, and "public finance", "tax policy" and "international investment" are in the top three worldwide.

A spokesman for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government said on the 15th that the annual report affirmed that Hong Kong is one of the world's most competitive economies. Hong Kong's competitiveness depends on the institutional advantage under the "one country, two systems".
