The opening ceremony of the conference announced and awarded the three major awards of the World Chinese Mathematical Association: the ICCM Mathematics Award, the Chen Provincial Phone Award and the John Cotton International Cooperation Award (formerly ICCM International Cooperation Award), and the ICCM Mathematical Contribution Award was the first to be awarded.
