On July 11, 1933, the Interim Central Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic decided on August 1 to establish a memorial day for the Chinese Workers and Peasants' Red Army on August 1.On June 15, 1949, the Chinese People's Revolutionary Military Commission issued an order to use the word "August 1st" as the main symbol of the Chinese People's Liberation Army's military flag and military emblem.After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was renamed this anniversary as the establishment of the Army of the People's Liberation Army.

According to the Law of the People's Republic of China, the Protection of Equity and Equity Protection, the establishment of the Army of the People's Liberation Army on August 1st each year.People's governments and military units at all levels shall organize activities such as celebration and commemoration at the Army Festival.
