Xueyuan Community: Happy Kitchen, Life Experience

At 14:30 pm on July 27, 2022, Qili Station Street Xueyuan Community joined forces to carry out the "delicious master" food workshop activities at the Xueyuan Community Community Resident Activity Center, which attracted 15 children's participation. This event is supported under the "Family Plan" project.

This event is one of the series of activities of the food workshop. It has carried out three activities in the early stage, and taught children to make fruit fishing, peach crisp and nougat. The children learned some simple food methods in the event. At the same time, they gave the food they made to difficult elderly people in the community, and learned to share with others.

This event social workers brought sushi production methods to old friends. Social workers first led the children to review the content of the last issue, reviewed the production method of nougat, and then introduced the theme of the production of this food workshop to the children. Immediately after, the social worker introduced the materials needed to make sushi to the children, and divided the required materials to the children for cleaning. The children cooperate, a group of cucumbers, a group of cleaning tableware, and some children to help cook rice. Before the children were officially practiced, the social workers first conducted demonstration teaching and told the children how to make the sushi. The children listened carefully. Subsequently, the children focused on making their own sushi, some joined cucumber, and some put them in ham sausage. After the production is completed, the children taste their labor results, and they eat it with taste. Although some do not make perfect, the food made by themselves is the most delicious food.

Organize life, games and education. Through weekly "delicious" practical activities, our children experience the fun played by chefs. More is to provide them with a platform to show themselves, cultivate their labor skills, encourage more children to participate in family labor, learn to take care of themselves, learn to share, and understand gratitude!
