Mr. Ding graduated from the Department of Painting in Shanghai in 1937 and was engaged in the rescue of the Anti -Japanese Specialty. In 1938, he was engaged in the propaganda work of anti -Japanese art in the third hall of the Political Department of the National Military Commission led by Zhou Enlai and Guo Moruo. In 1941, the woodcut "School Farm Tragedy" he created in 1941 recorded the war crime of Japanese fascist slaughter of civilians, which was a great impact at the time. In addition to printmaking, Ding Zhengxian has also made unremitting efforts for the art of color painting in my country. From the mid -1970s, he has been a call for the spread of color pink paintings and devoted himself to the creation of color pink painting. It is one of them.

At that time, they talked about Zhou Enlai from Huai'an, from the history of woodcuts to the development of prints from the history of woodcuts. From art teaching to the construction of teachers, they were omnipotent, and they had a feeling of meeting each other. Although Ding Zhengxian is more than ten years old than my father, they have similar interests and similar temperaments. After Hangzhou, my father and his letter continued. Because my father knew that Ding Lao had a special feelings for Zhou Enlai, he had invited him many times to come to Zhou Enlai's hometown of Huai'an as a guest. Ding Lao always wanted to come to Huai'an. Due to his work, he did not realize it until he retired.
Huai'an is a historical and cultural city. That day, Ding Lao came to Huai'an. My father arranged for board and lodging for their couple that night. The next day, they took them to visit the famous attractions such as Zhou Enlai's former residence, Guan Tianpei Temple, and Weitong Tower. In Huai for several days, Ding Lao waved his brush in his hand, and made real -time sketches in Zhenhuai Building and other places. He created multiple color pink paintings, which can be described as a lot of harvest. What also made Ding Lao very happy is that the couple were warmly received by my father in Huai. In order to make him live well, my father would take out the specialties of Huaiyang cuisine, prepared excellent ingredients in advance, and personally cook for the guests. On the day of the old couple, my father washed the wind for the guests and arranged a rich dinner at home. When Ding Lao saw the dishes full of colorful and fragrant flavors, he praised the famous dishes. Among them, Huaiyang famous dishes such as soft pockets, Pingqiao tofu, steamed catfish, and Hui Yang Yam and other Hui Yan My father was born in Huizhou) and left a deep and beautiful impression on Ding Lao.
Ding Lao came to Huai'an that time and also visited the Huaian Normal School of my father's work unit. In the future, he not only regards Professor Ding's paintings as a treasure, but also should be used as an excellent exhibits for students to learn to appreciate copying. Under the unremitting efforts and careful cultivation of my father, a large number of art backbones stood out. They either became a well -known painter inside and outside the province, the backbone of the teaching system, or became a high -end design talent in the arts ... Due to outstanding performance, my father was educated successively. The commendation of the ministry and the Jiangsu Provincial Government is inseparable from the support and support of Ding Lao. Of course, my father did not forget to vote for Tao. I heard that after Ding Lao retired, he would complete the artistic monograph of "History of Chinese Printmaking". In order to help him fulfill his wish, my father took the lead and mobilized the student to help Ding Laozhang write the school's document, so that the book was published as soon as possible. My father is also engaged in printmaking. It is a member of the Chinese printmaker association. The publication of the book is also great encouragement to my father. However, what Ding Lao couldn't think of is that Jiang Mingqi, who was more than ten years younger than him, died first, which made him sad: my father died during a personal painting exhibition in Huangshan City, Anhui in 1989, and Ding Lao Zezhi He died in 2000, which can be described as high life. After Ding Zhengxian died, his family members followed Ding Lao's last wishes to give him more than 500 prints, color powder paintings and precious literature he created to Zhejiang Art Museum for appreciation and research.
