China's digital economy scale reaches $ 7.1 trillion

At the 2022 Global Digital Economic Conference, which opened on July 29, the Global Digital Economy White Paper (2022) released by the China Institute of Information and Communications (2022 "shows that in 2021, the number of digital economy in 47 major countries around the world reached 381,000 One hundred million U.S. dollars. Among them, China's digital economy has reached 7.1 trillion US dollars, accounting for more than 18%of 47 countries, second only to the United States, ranking second in the world.

According to the white paper, the digital economy has added new momentum to the development of the world economy. On the whole, the value -added scale of the digital economy in the world's 47 countries in 2021 reached US $ 38.1 trillion, an increase of 15.6%year -on -year, accounting for 45.0%of GDP. Among them, the digital economy of developed countries is large and the proportion is high. In 2021, the scale was US $ 27.6 trillion, an increase of 13.2%, accounting for 55.7%of GDP; the digital economy in developing countries was growing faster, with a growth rate of 22.3%in 2021.

In terms of proportion, Germany, Britain, and the United States account for the top three in GDP, all of which exceed 65%. In terms of growth, the Norwegian digital economy increased by 34.4%year -on -year, ranking first in the world, and the digital economy in 13 countries including South Africa, Ireland, and New Zealand exceeded 20%.

The digital economy has become a key force driving my country's economic development. The white paper shows that from the perspective of growth rate, from 2012 to 2021, the average growth rate of my country's digital economy was 15.9%; from the perspective of the proportion, from 2012 to 2021, the proportion of digital economy accounted for GDP from 20.9%to 39.8%. The average annual proportion increased by about 2.1 percentage points. The overall investment efficiency of the digital economy increased from 0.9 in 2002 to 2.8 in 2020.
