UN Environmental Administration Ingle Anderson: Congratulations to the historic resolutions of the United University through healthy environmental rights!China Green Fair

On July 28, the UN General Assembly created history. The conference passed a resolution, announcing a clean, healthy and sustainable environment is a universal human rights. The conference has achieved a common victory for humans and the earth.

This resolution lasted for fifty years from the bud to the launch. With the Stockholm Declaration of 1972 as the starting point and foothold, the right to enjoy the health environment has been gradually written into the constitution, legislation and regional agreement. In October 2021, the right was recognized by the UN Human Rights Council. Now the decision reached by the United University has raised this right to its original position: generally acknowledged.

The resolution shows that the governments of various countries are united and sought after the three major global crisis impacts of climate change, natural and biodiversity, and pollution. The resolution is committed to helping people to defend their right to enjoy climate, clean air, drink clean water sources, obtain sufficient food, enjoy a healthy ecosystem and non -toxic environment.

Therefore, admitting that this right is a great victory worthy of our celebration. Thanks to the efforts of member states, thousands of civil society organizations and aboriginal groups, and many young groups that actively advocate this right.

But now, we must make persistent efforts on the basis of this victory and implement this right. Because the three major global environmental crises pose a huge threat to future generations. If countries can fully implement this right -through steps to deal with the three major crises, provide enterprises with a more predictive and consistent global regulatory environment, and protect the groups that work hard to defend nature, our situation will be greatly improved.

The United Nations Environment Agency is committed to assisting all members and all interests to implement this important right. I urge countries around the world to implement this work -in this way, we can put a healthy environment in the center of human well -being, sustainable development and various human rights.
