"Southern": Recently, you have won the honorary title of the Fifth Guangdong Master of Arts and Crafts, please share with us the award -winning feeling?

Yu Xiaolun: First of all, I would like to first thank the government for their affirmation and recognition of our craftsmen. I am honored to get this honor and encourages, and I feel that the responsibility on my shoulders is heavier. In the future, I will spend more time and energy to do a good job of research on the subject of non -heritage culture and traditional ceramic crafts on response to emission reduction and environmental protection. To understand it. Only by turning non -heritage skills into products, in line with the current market aesthetics and needs, can they have vitality and better inheritance.

"Southern": Now Huizhou has unearthed more than 20 ancient kiln sites. The site of Dongping Kiln is the largest. It is one of the three famous kiln in Guangdong. Why can Dongping kiln stand out from so many folk kiln?

Yu Xiaolun: After the establishment of the country in the Song Dynasty, at that time, the overseas trade management agency (equivalent to the current customs) was located in Guangzhou. Therefore, some technologies of the folk kiln came to Lingnan, and the folk kiln of the ceramics was generated accordingly.

Dongping Kiln in the entire Dongjiang River Basin is one of the brightest pearls in the ancient ceramic world. At that time in the Northern Song Dynasty, its output was quite large, and there were 1.5 million pieces a year. It was an important contributor to our Maritime Silk Road at that time.

The entire Dongping Kiln is centered on Dongping kiln in Huicheng District. At that time, the survey was 420,000 square meters. The entire area was equivalent to an ancient ceramic industrial park. When Dongping Kiln was initially excavated, the entire cultural layer had more than 8 meters of utensils. Their glaze color is also very rich, including black glaze, yellow glaze, blue glaze, and blue and white glaze. The types of appliances are also very rich, including discs, bowls, cans, incense burners, and some production equipment, such as the net pendant of the fishing net. Their craftsmanship is very exquisite.

Because innovation can stimulate the continuous vitality, innovation can meet the needs of today's society and market development. With the market recognition and sales, practitioners can survive. Therefore, we continuously improve the firing conditions, allow the industry to green and environmental protection, and continue to innovate and develop the skills and development.

Inheritance is the relay stick, which requires generations to continue to struggle. It has been ten years since the Dongping Kiln Ceramics Institute has carried out school -enterprise cooperation.
