Researchers at the University of Ohos surveyed the degree of love for five horror movies, their perception and emotional points of the five horror movies (that is, their ability to understand others' feelings, sharing and experience emotions), and "Cold and ruthless" or ignore the happiness of others.

The results show that there is no significant difference between participants who like horror movies and others in their empathy. The degree of love for horror movies is not significantly correlated with the scores of these indicators.
