Zhang Yang: In 2018 and 2019, Tencent launched the home project of e -sports cities to promote regional development. Because our headquarters in Shenzhen, the team played in Shanghai, we wanted to choose a city in the Bay Area as a home.

When connecting with the relevant departments of the South China Sea District, we found that the South China Sea government may be the most perceived government in the Greater Bay Area city. GK Club is the core of everyone's sports. Why did you start such a club at the time?

Zhang Yang: Because my family never asked me to play games before I went to college; I fell in love after I went to college to contact e -sports games.

After 2016, some universities began to set up e -sports related majors. This signal is a strong agent for me, so I seize the opportunity and set up Renren Sports and GK Club in 2016.

What is the profit model of our club?

Zhang Yang: Many people should be curious. One is the direct broadcast of the event and has the revenue of copyrights; the other is sponsor, such as the marks such as some companies, live broadcast platforms, consumer goods and other logos on the team uniform; third, the income of team players and brands such as team players and brands; Players transfer or rent.

What is the revenue of the club in recent years?

Zhang Yang: We were founded in 2016 and had almost no income that year. In 2017, there were two or three million yuan in revenue; by 2018, we broke through 10 million yuan, and now there are tens of millions of yuan in revenue. The growth rate of income is quite fast. We just achieved a profit and loss balance last year, and we should be profitable this year.

The biggest investment in the club is actually the signing of the players. We spent 10 million yuan in 2018 to buy a star player. At the same time, our club's youth training system is very good, and the signing and transfer of excellent youth training players can also contribute continuous players, and even youth training training courses can be profitable.

What is the club's team's income level? How to cultivate them as a TOP -level player?

Zhang Yang: The annual salary of professional e -sports players is at the level of one million yuan. In terms of the youth training players, the youth training may be thousands of dollars a month, and then it can be slowly achieved. For example, our draft selection came to the substitute. Maybe it may be tens of thousands of yuan a month. A level of more than 10,000 yuan. But their energy is also exaggerated, training every day.

The excavation of e -sports players is not the same compared to traditional sports. It has a national unified ranking. Zhang Yang: If you use the flow of gaming to empower other industries, we find that they have a lot of space. Around the club, we will have e -sports hotels, e -sports, and our home gaming home for offline scenes.

We do a lot of such attempts now, and finally we hope to verify the traffic of e -sports and the traffic of the game to empower the offline industry.

Foshan is one of the birthplaces of Lingnan culture and a well -known manufacturing city in the country. After settling in Foshan, what are the fusion of some attempts with the local area?

Zhang Yang: From the three or four months since August this year, we will be a Foshan DRG.GK enrollment ceremony and announced a ten -year long -term plan called the "Wake Lion Building Dream Plan".

First, we will let players promote Foshan's non -heritage culture through traffic. Second, we will open a certain number of places to local enterprises to empower the offline scene. Finally, an e -sports carnival is held to integrate electronic music, anime, cosplay, Hanfu, local cuisine and ancient villages.

What do you think of the development trend of China's e -sports industry? What are the suggestions for the development of the Foshan e -sports industry?

Zhang Yang: I do this industry to explain that I am still very confident. First of all, the peak of the e -sports club players is still very early. This industry may be peak in more than ten years. why? Because we have experienced e -sports baptism, as parents will not have so many resistance, they will even play with their children, turning e -sports into a ordinary hobby.

Secondly, e -sports will definitely be integrated into the soul of urban culture in the future. I hope GK must be a business card in Foshan. The players represent Foshan on the field.

Finally, e -sports became "e -sports+", integrated into other industries, and empower to the traditional industry. E -sports events may also join the Olympic Games, I think these are worth looking forward to.
