According to Yonhap News Agency, Polish Defense Minister of Defense Bavashchak told reporters on the 27th that Poland will order nearly 1,000 K-2 main battle tanks, 648 K-9 self-propelled artillery, and 48 FA-50 fighters.

According to CNN, the first batch of 120 K-2 main battle tanks will be delivered from this year. By 2026, this tank will be realized in Poland. The 48-door K-9 self-propelled artillery will be delivered from this year, and the second batch of 600 orders will be delivered from 2024; the first batch of 12 FA-50 fighters will be delivered before mid-2023.

In an interview with the CNN, the Renjun General of the South Korean retired Army said that the agreement reached with Poland was the largest weapon export order in South Korean history.

The Yonhap News Agency said that the South Korean government did not disclose the specific number of Polish military purchase orders, but the Polish government said that the contract between the two parties has been determined.

CNN said that after Poland announced the above news, some Western defense analysts questioned whether Korean weapons could meet the needs of European countries. National Defense Industry Analyst and former British Army Officer Nicholas Drummond said that the K-2 main battle tank purchased by Poland is essentially the weakened version of the German Leopard-2 tank. , But the former's electronic system is not a first -class level, and once a war erupted in Europe, weapons from Asia may face the supply chain problem.
