The 16th FIRST Youth Film Show unveiled 41 shortlisted films for centralized screening

The predecessor of the FIRST Youth Film Show is the University Student Image Festival. It was founded in 2006 at the Communication University of China. In 2011, Xining was officially renamed Xining FIRST Youth Film Show. This year's film festival is the chairman of the main unit jury by actor Zhang Ziyi. The judges include Cao Yu, Liu Qiang, Meifeng, Yang Hongyu, Zhang Jialu and other filmmakers. They will review the 41 films that are finalized and decide 10 main units including the best plot, best director, and best actor.

The film show will last until August 4th and hold the FIRST Youth Film Ceremony on the same day. During the film festival, 41 shortlisted films will be displayed in the cinema in Xining.
