Recently, the People's Court of Yuanzhou District, Yichun City, Jiangxi Province sentenced a case of illegal absorption of public deposits involving the elderly. The defendant Hu was sentenced to six years in prison and fined 150,000 yuan.

The court trial found that in December 2013, the defendant Hu was the head of the Hankou Branch of Wuhan Pension Service Co., Ltd. Hankou Branch. From April 2014 to December 2015, Hu Mou established a financing business team to absorb funds to the public in the form of pension services, adopting speaking, issuing leaflets and other forms, and promised to pay benefits subsidies. After statistics, when Hu was the head of the branch company, the branch absorbed more than 10 million yuan to more than 600 people.

From December 2015 to October 2016, the defendant Hu was responsible for the financing business of two marketing departments of Hubei Xianning Pension Co., Ltd. Hu Mou established a financing business team to take the same form of the same form of absorbing funds in the same form, and promised to pay for welfare consumer coupons. After auditing, the Hu team absorbed more than 50 million yuan to the public.

In July 2017, the defendant Hu Mou signed a contract with Jiangxi Health Pension Service Co., Ltd., agreed that the business commission ratio was 24%. After that, Hu established a financing business team to name the public in Yichun, Ji'an, Pingxiang and other places in the name of pension health services, investment and financial management, and promised to pay for benefits subsidies. After auditing, Hu's team absorbed more than 70 million yuan to more than 800 people.

It was also found that after the incident, Hu's family members took the initiative to pay most of the stolen money.

After hearing, the court believed that the defendant Hu had constituted the crime of illegally absorbing public deposits. In view of the confession of the defendant, Hu Mou, and his family members took the initiative to withdraw most of the stolen money, the court of first instance made the above judgment in accordance with the law.
