On July 25, 2022, the Zhengzhou Municipal Government of Henan Province issued a notice on the size of the Zhengzhou city building area in 2021.The notice mentioned that in 2021, the urban area of Zhengzhou City's urban area was 744.15 square kilometers, and the urban city building area was 1342.11 square kilometers.
