Ren Aiguang, deputy director of the Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that as of the end of June, my country had built 1.7 million 5G base stations, cultivated 150 large industrial Internet platforms, and more than 78 million units connecting industrial equipment (sets).

According to Ren Aiguang, with the joint efforts of all parties, the integration of artificial intelligence and the real economy in my country has made positive progress. First, the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries continues to accelerate. Cultivate a group of typical enterprises that have grown up a number of traditional industries+AI, promote the application of a group of typical cases of intelligent upgrades, and export a new model and method of forming AI and the real economy. In the field of intelligent manufacturing, the application of intelligent technology has greatly improved product detection efficiency and equipment utilization efficiency. In the field of smart medical care, intelligent technology effectively reduces the pressure of medical staff and improves the accuracy and service convenience of medical equipment. At present, it has obtained more than 40 types of AI imaging medical devices in China.

Second, the strength of the intelligent industry has continued to improve. According to estimates, the scale of my country's artificial intelligence core industry exceeds 400 billion yuan, and the number of enterprises exceeds 3,000. The key core technologies such as smart chips and open source frameworks have achieved important breakthroughs. The innovation capabilities of smart chips, terminals, robots and other iconic products have continued to increase.

Third, the layout of new infrastructure has gradually improved. Public service platforms such as multiple computing power centers and data centers are built across the country.
