Today, Wu Zunyou, chief expert of the Popular disease of the China Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, published a long article on Weibo to answer whether the acne will be introduced into China and caused popularity.
The original text is as follows:
On July 23, Director -General of the WHO Tan Desai announced that the epidemic of the monkey acne was "PHEIC" (PHEIC). This is the highest -level public health alert issued by WHO to the world. The WHO has put monkey acne epidemic at the same level of alarm level as the new crown epidemic. It is hoped that this alarm can promote the emphasis on the epidemic of monkey acne in each member country, and start preparing to deal with the epidemic of the monkey acne that has occurred or will occur.
1. WHO determines that monkey acne is the consideration of PHEII and
Monkey acne was originally popular in some countries in West Africa and China Africa. It belongs to local epidemic infectious diseases. In other parts of the world, unless there is a history of African travel, there have been hardly reported monkey acne cases before this year.
In early May of this year, the UK first reported that there was a diagnosis of monkey acne, and the cases had not been to African countries with popular monkey acne. Subsequently, some European and American countries successively reported monkey acne cases, and a considerable proportion of cases did not have a history of travel in Africa. These phenomena show that in multiple "non -popular countries", there are no cases of acne in the population of diseases that do not have direct travel, which is a non -normal phenomenon.
On the afternoon of June 23, the WHO Emergency Committee held an expert meeting to evaluate the risk of overeating monkey acne epidemic in many places around the world. At that time, there were 47 countries and regions reporting reports at the time, with about 3040 cases, and limited to limited areas and limited people. The committee finally reached a consensus that the monkey acne epidemic has not yet constituted "international concerns of emergencies." On the afternoon of July 21, the WHO Emergency Committee held an expert meeting again to discuss monkey acne epidemic. At this time, 75 countries and regions have reported more than 16,000 cases to WHO, including 5 deaths. Although the committee did not reach a consensus, considering the expansion of the epidemic dissemination, the number of cases increased sharply, and the crowd was more widely covered. The Director -General of the WHO Tan Dezai still decided to announce at a press conference on the 23rd that the epidemic of the monkey acne epidemic has constituted "International International Following the emergencies of public health ".
2. How does monkey acne spread?
The main source of infection caused by monkey acne spread is rodent animals infected with monkey acne viruses and primates including monkeys, chimpanzees, people, etc.
The virus invades the human body through the mucous membrane and damaged skin. People are mainly infected by contacting the infection of animal lesions, blood, other body fluids, or infected by the infected animals. People are mainly transmitted through close contact, and items contaminated by viruses may also be infected, and they can also be transmitted vertically through the placenta. Flight communication is yet to be further confirmed, but it will not be transmitted through gas solution.
Monkey acne history is not a sexually transmitted disease, but in Europe and the United States reporting cases, about 95%of cases are infected with monkey acne through sexual behavior. Among them, the most risk of monkey acne infection in male contacts.
All children's cases increase. Children's diagnosis of infection of monkey acne virus means that anyone may infected monkey acne virus due to close contact between the skin. As far as children are concerned, infection with intimate contact such as hugs, and sharing towels, bedding, cups, and tableware such as shared towels.
3. The severity of monkey acne
The incubation period of monkey acne is 5-21 days, mostly 6-13 days. The initial symptoms of human infection of monkey acne include fever, headache, muscle soreness, back pain, lymph nodes, etc., and can be developed into a large range of rash on the face and body. In this epidemic, the onset of some cases is different from the past. Its rash disease is limited to genitals, perineum, perianal or peripheral areas, and usually does not spread further. Later Symptoms.
Monkey acne is a self -limited disease. Most infected people recover within a few weeks. Severe cases are common in young children and low immune functions, and death may occur.
A comprehensive analysis of a historical data shows that the mortality rate of monkey acne is about 8.7%, of which the mortality rate of monkey acne disease is 10.6%(95%CI: 8.4% - 13.3%), and the mortality rate of Monkey acne disease in West Africa is 3.6% (95%CI: 1.7% - 6.8%). The cause of the mortality of African African acne disease in the west is still unclear.
In 2022, the mortality rate of the case of monkey acne cases was about 0.03%, and the five cases of death were reported in Africa. At present, the low -disease death rate observed is due to the different virus strains, or the good physical fitness of the people in Europe and the United States, or a timely treatment of medical services, and it is yet to be further studied.
4. Will monkey acne be introduced into China and causing popularity?
On June 24, Taiwan reported the confirmed case of monkey acne. This is also the first case of Chinese acne in this epidemic.
At present, there are no reports of monkey acne in the Mainland, Hong Kong and Macau.
Judging from the people and spreads of monkey acne in Europe and the United States, the transmission of monkey acne was introduced to mainland China, Hong Kong, China and Macau, China, but it was only a matter of time.
Mainland China was the first to be attacked by a monkey acne epidemic. Due to the limitation of communication methods, the speed of communication and the scope of the population is far from being popular in the new crown. In other words, the epidemic of monkey acne will not cause large -scale popularity in my country. 5. Monkey acne prevention measures
The crowd is generally susceptible, that is, regardless of men, women, and children, they may be infected.
To prevent monkey acne, one must avoid contact with the infected animals, and the other must be as much as possible to contact people directly as much as possible. According to the main way of spreading the epidemic of the monkey acne, avoiding intimate contact with people who may come from the epidemic area is an important prevention measure.
Do you repeat the infection? At present, there are 1 case report that has been infected with a monkey acne virus again. The immune protection effect after infection of monkey acne virus can last, and it is still unclear.
Those who have been vaccinated in the past have a certain degree of cross protection for monkey acne virus. Research in the African Monkey Popular area showed that the prevention effect of ceiling vaccines on monkey acne is about 85%.
