From July 18th to 20th, the two sessions of 2021-2022 China Ownership Gardening Academic Symposium was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. More than 500 representatives from 111 teaching, scientific research, administrative, and enterprises and institutions from 27 provinces (autonomous regions and cities) nationwide attended the academic seminar.

The theme of this seminar is "Flower Innovation and Green Development". It is hosted by the China Horticultural Society's Observatory and Gardening Professional Committee, the National Flower Engineering Technology Research Center, the National Flower Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, and hosted by the School of Agricultural and Biotechnology of Zhejiang University. The opening ceremony was chaired by Sun Chongde, dean of the School of Agriculture and Biotechnology of Zhejiang University, Ye Min, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Zhejiang University, Xing Senwan, president of the Zhejiang Flower Association, Chen Fuxi, deputy director of the China Horticultural Society and president of Nanjing Agricultural University.

At the same time, the China Observous Horticultural Award was awarded at the meeting. Professor Shen Shouyun, a professor at the School of Landscape and Garden of Central South Forestry University of Forestry Science and Technology, won the "Special Honor Award of China Owner Gardening 2021". The jury highly affirmed his outstanding contributions to landscape plant application design, ecological restoration technological innovation, and the reform of garden practice teaching. Yin Junmei, a webmaster and researcher at the Haikou Experimental Station of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, developed the contribution of Wu Xiaohong, chairman of Zhejiang Dongfang Meiyuan Co., Ltd., the chairman of Zhejiang Dongfang Meiyuan Co., Ltd. There are 79 academic reports in this seminar. On the last day of the indoor meeting, Bao Manzhu, deputy director of the Observatory Professional Committee, made a comprehensive summary of the conference from the aspects of the conference organization, the content of academic exchanges and research themes and innovations.
