According to reports, as of the end of 2021, Taiyuan City has established 21 comprehensive parks, 49 community parks, 17 specialized parks, and 315 street tourism parks and squares. In the past five years, 19 new Phases of Taiyuan Botanical Garden, Fenhe Park Phase III, Fourth Phase, Shuangta Park, Chanle Park and other parks have been built. The mountain scenic spots, the provincial Jinshang Museum, the Tianlongshan Scenic Area, and the Niutuzhai Scenic Area and other projects were transformed. 140 new tourism gardens and 169 street green space were added.

As of the end of 2021, the coverage area of ​​garden greening in Taiyuan City was 16117.2 hectares, and the green coverage rate was 44.77%; the garden green space area was 14270.4 hectares, and the green space rate was 39.64%; 1377 plants, 733 reserve resources, all of which are protected. The city's garden green space has an oxygen inhalation of 85,600 tons, 114,200 tons of carbon, 118 tons of sulfur dioxide, and a stagnation of 69,000 tons.

At present, 36 indicators of 5 major categories of national forest cities have been created, and the Taiyuan Garden Bureau has undertaken 5 leading indicators and 18 cooperation indicators. From the perspective of the completion of the indicators, although both have reached the standard, there are still shortcomings and gaps in the completion of quality and distribution. In terms of crown coverage rate in the urban area, there are not enough planting in the trees; in terms of per capita park area, there are certain blind spots in the radius of the green space service radius in the park; in terms of tree -lined roads, the blank sections of the sidewalk trees still exist to a certain extent, and the double -row road trees have not yet been fully popular. In terms of diversity, in the garden greening project, the application of tree species is single, the color is relatively monotonous, and the level is not clear enough; the use of local tree species is not wide enough.

In the next step, the Taiyuan Garden Bureau will focus on creating the national forest cities, solidly carry out urban green shade and tree -lined road construction actions, guide the construction tasks of 5 small gardens, 5 street green spaces and small and micro -green space construction in various urban areas. Carry out greening, choose moderate specifications of seedlings, and try to use full -crowned seedlings to enrich urban green plant varieties.
