Recently, the Ministry of Water Resources has approved the Xiangjiang River, Ganjiang River, Xinjiang, and Zishui of the Yangtze River Basin. The Xiangjiang River is the largest river area in the water system of Dongting Lake. It flows through 4 provinces (autonomous regions) of Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, and Jiangxi. Since the beginning of this year, the Ministry of Water Resources has approved 11 new water distribution plans across the provincial river basin. 94 important rivers across provinces planned to carry out water distribution across the country have currently approved 74. The Ministry of Water Resources instructed the provinces to approve 346 water distribution plans for the riverside watershed across the city. In the next step, the Ministry of Water Resources will further increase the progress of water distribution in the river basin, strengthen the supervision of the water volume distribution plan, and provide important support for the comprehensive implementation of the principle of "four water and four fixed".
