In just a few days, more than 400 college students from more than 80 universities across the country signed up. Recently, they set off one after another to walk with reporters and experts into the practice site of people's democracy across the province, looking at Chinese democracy. On Zhoushan, residents on the island depend on boats, and boats traveling between the island are called "seas of the sea".

His questions also aroused the interest of several other students. Xia Xianming said that Zhoushan is known as the "City of Thousand Islands". At present, there are 87 residents of the island, of which nearly 30 people have less than 100 people. Most of these islands live on the elderly over 65 years old. They rarely go out of the island, do not use smart devices, and some do not even know a few words. But few villagers from Kojima came.

During a survey of Xia Island, some villagers took Xia Xianming to say half an hour's troubles, which made him realize that the island can easily become a "forgotten corner". "They are not easy to travel, so we take the initiative to go to the island." Xia Xianming said.

Therefore, starting in May 2020, the normalization of the Standing Committee of the Dinghai District People's Congress represents the delegates to receive voters on the island, and Xia Xianming will go every time. So far, he has run more than 20 times and solves more than 130 problems with other representatives. This time, he was the fifth time he went down the island this year.

The destination of the team is Xili Island and Dongzheng Island. At present, there are only more than 20 resident villagers left on Xili Island, and it is only 60 people in total shipyard and farm employees. Lu Yuxuan's biggest feeling is the enthusiasm and responsibility of the people's congress representative.

Mao Guofeng, deputy director of the founding committee of Zhoushan Municipal People's Congress, told his classmates that Chinese democracy is widely, true, specific, and effective. In the process of developing the whole process of people's democracy, we must hear the voices of special difficult groups that are easily overlooked. "Representative running islands" is to actively contact the people in remote areas, so that these groups have channels to reflect demands and express opinions. At present, this system has been implemented in the city of Zhoushan.
