At that time, the WHO received about 3040 romance reports from 47 countries and regions.

However, in the past month, more and more countries and regions have reported to WHO to report monkey acne cases. As of now, 75 countries and regions have reported more than 16,000 cases of acne. On July 21, the WHO once again held a meeting of the emergency committee of the monkey acne epidemic, but the emergency committee failed to reach an agreement on whether the Monkey epidemic constituted the "international concern public health incident".

According to the "International Health Regulations" formulated in 2005, the emergency committee evaluates whether the epidemic constitutes the "international concern public health incident" and makes suggestions to the World Health General Director -General. It is "internationally concerned emergencies".
