Deep mourning Teacher Cui Daoyi

I was shocked in Bijie, Guizhou, and learned that Mr. Cui Daoyi died, and it would be sorrowful!

The "People's Literature" magazine issued a report that the outstanding Chinese Communist Party member, the outstanding literary editor and critic Cui Daoyi died in Beijing on July 17, 2022 at the age of 88.

Teacher Cui Daoyi graduated from Peking University in the summer of 1956 and assigned to work in the "People's Literature" magazine. From an ordinary editor to the executive deputy editor, he retired in the winter of 1998 and worked in the "People's Literature" magazine for 42 years.

Although Mr. Cui Daoyi has not edited my literary works, he is still my respectable teacher. Teacher Cui participated in my work seminar for the first time in 2000. At that time, he was 66 years old. The work he studied was a long report literature "Smart Storm". I saw Teacher Cui Daoyi wrote a comment article and read it enthusiastically at the seminar. I was deeply moved! At that time, I thought, maybe because Mr. Cui was rigorous in editing work throughout his life, and he had almost sacred respect for every text in the pen. Teacher Cui also participated in the seminars of many ministers such as "China's New Education Storm", "Poverty and Rich and Governance", and "Farmers". His comments on my work are more deep and more fully deeper than once, not only analyzing the content of the work, but also pointing out that my creation is a research writing facing social history and reality, and has a strong forward -looking. Such comments are great encouragement to the author.

Every time Cui Daoyi attended the seminar, he was wearing a red top, each time he wrote a comment, and he read it aloud at the seminar every time. Among the contemporary literary critics, Mr. Cui Daoyi, full of white hair, and his publishing methods are unique.

Teacher Cui Daoyi participated in my work seminar for the last time in May 2019 and participated in the seminar of "China Eye: Nanren East Biography". He was 85 years old and read his comments at the seminar as always, titled "The Eye of Literature". His article was published in the Shanghai "Wen Wei Po" on Monday, June 10.

This is the last time Mr. Cui Daoyi commented on my work. He wrote rational comments so full of feelings. It seemed to be "full" and gave me all without reservation. I know Mr. Cui's affirmation of my work, condensing his experience and feelings from Peking University in 1956 to the work since the work of "People's Literature". Edit good works that are written for the people are Cui Daoyi's pride in life, and it is also the pursuit of his life.

In the spring of 2021, my latest report literary work "Towards the Rural Revitalization" was published. In writing, I hesitated some content or not to write. I wrote it after he was hesitated, and wrote such a paragraph in the text: "I should also write it down. For many years, the seniors I have respected for many years should be responsible for literature. The teaching of society and human responsibilities, the education of their loyalty, duties, and character, is still in my mind, prompting me to do what I should do. In this sense, I also realized the power of inheritance. "At that time I just thought of Cui Daoyi and other seniors and teachers who taught, support and expect me over the years.

I still remember that when I went to write a report on the Wenchuan earthquake, I called a report on a report literature from Sichuan to Beijing to discuss with Teacher Cui Daoyi, and finally the title was determined as "Seeing the Sun Ends on the ruins".

Today, Mr. Cui, who dedicated himself to the literary editorial career. I can no longer hear the experience and wisdom of Teacher Cui Daoyi. However, the teachings, feelings, encouragement and expectations left by Mr. Cui will always be with my life. I will also help young authors like a teacher, this should be inherited.
