Xinhua News Agency, Moscow, July 21 (Reporter Liu Kai) Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov stated in Moscow on the 21st that the Hungarian government hopes to purchase additional natural gas from Russia, and Russia will consider this request.

According to the website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lavrov held talks with the visiting Hungarian Foreign Minister Seven on the same day. The two parties discussed the implementation of major cooperation projects in the energy and transportation field and reiterated that they continued to cooperate in the expansion of the Hungarian nuclear power plant Wishes.

At a joint press conference after the talks, Seato said that the Hungarian government decided to purchase an additional 700 million cubic meters of natural gas. Without Russia's help, it was impossible. Hungary hoped to complete related negotiations with Russia as soon as possible.

Lavrov said that the long -term contract of Russia's export of natural gas exported to Hungarian completely meets the interests of the two countries, and Russia will immediately study the request for increasing natural gas from Hungarian.

Lavrov emphasized that Russia will do its best to develop long -term strategic relationships with Hungary. Russia does not want Western sanctions against Russia to hinder Russia and Hungarian cooperation, and the two countries will seek solutions to prevent cooperation in various fields from being affected by sanctions.

In September last year, Russia and Hungarian energy companies signed two long -term contracts, stipulating that Russia provided 4.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Hungary through the natural gas pipeline via Serbia and Austria. The contract is valid for 15 years.

Hungarian Prime Minister Grandmart Gutiash said on the 13th of this month that Russia and Ukraine's conflict with the European Union's sanctions on Russia has led to a sharp rise in European energy prices and triggered an energy crisis in most European areas. In order to protect Hungarian families and ensure energy supply, the Hungarian government decides that the state enters the state of energy.
