At the beginning of the start, Zhuang Rulin encountered difficulties, and the knowledge of immune -related knowledge was very complicated. The content in the undergraduate textbook was slightly lagging behind the cutting -edge research of the field. The instructor Professor Liu Zhongmin and Professor Zhou Xiaohui saw Zhuang Rulin's dilemma. They pulled Zhuang Rulin into the door of T cells through a task. "The teacher asked me to complete a review of related fields while the theoretical lesson, which gave me the motivation to read the latest research literature. Thanks for that time, let me develop the habit of regular reading literature."

Looking back at the course of walking, Zhuang Rulin said that he sinking his heart to do research, allowing him to achieve a small goal step by step. In the end, the "medical" road took the wind and waves. When he graduated from the PhD, Zhuang Rulin published 16 SCI papers, with a total impact factors exceeding 130. Among them, the first author and the first author published 7 SCI papers, with a total impact factors of 75 points. In addition, there are currently six articles in submission.

He was worried that he would not find a suitable foreign mentor and worried that he would not persist abroad for long.

Zhuang Rulin adopted a "stupid" method to solve this problem. He searched for each article related to his own research direction, and he sent an mail to the joint request for joint training. When receiving several interview invitations from Harvard Medical College, Zhuang Rulin was surprised and happy. More than thanks to the tutor for his direction for him, and the school thanked the school for providing valuable opportunities.

With the funding of the State Fund Commission, Zhuang Rulin sent publicly to study in the United States at the end of 2019 as a joint training of doctoral students studying at Harvard Medical College for 2 years.
