Criminal suspects often accurately choose the elderly through irregular calls, visits and other methods based on the collected personal information. Use information advantages to mislead. From January to June, 475 people who provided "pension services" were provided in the prosecutor's elderly fraud crime, 336 people who invested in "pension projects", and 210 people sold "pension products", claiming to be "housing pension" and agency. "Pension insurance" and 140 people who launch "pension assistance".

From the perspective of the prosecution of the national procuratorial organs, the types of pension fraud are mainly concentrated in the crime of fraud, illegal absorption of public deposits, and fund -raising fraud. The three types of crimes account for 94.4%of all crimes of pension fraud. And such crimes are often harmed, and they have obvious characteristics of crowded economic crimes. Cases involved in criminal economic crimes are often targeted at unspecified elderly groups.
