In 1947, the People's Liberation Army turned from a strategic defense to a strategic counterattack, and the patriotic democratic movement in the Kuomintang rule was booming. The Kuomintang's reactionary government was unwilling to fail. It adopted a fascist high -pressure method in the Kuomintang District to step up to encircle and suppress the Communist Party's activities and the power of patriotic masters. On May 18th, the "Interim Measures for Maintaining Social Order" was promulgated; on July 4th, the "Ping Ping Communist Bandit Rebellion Mobilization Order" was issued. In Shanghai, a police officer management area system announced that it would replace the resident certificate. The city conducted a large number of household registration inspections. Each residents must wait at home and check them with a hukou book and himself. Obviously, this is aimed at the insidious plan to combat the underground party and the revolutionary forces, which pose a huge threat to the underground party activities.

The leaders of the Shanghai Bureau of the Communist Party of China, Liu Xiao, Liu Changsheng, Zhang Zhiyi, and Zhang Chengzong discussed in a small building in a small building No. 121, Yongle Village, Shanghai, Shanghai. This small building was leased by Fang Xing and Wang Xinnan in September 1945. It was actually the location of the Shanghai Bureau of the Communist Party of China. The leaders of the Shanghai Bureau often meet here to learn, exchange information, study and judge the situation, and arrange arrangements. In response to the fierce approach of this reactionary, in accordance with the experience of hidden work, discussly decided to temporarily go to Hangzhou to "avoid the limelight" to maintain safety.

Where to go to Hangzhou? Fang Xing (underground party member, the person in charge of the "New Culture Magazine") discussed with Zhao Puchu. Zhao Puchu has a long -term cooperative relationship with the New Fourth Army Party organizations. In the name of the Buddhist "Net Industry Society" and "Yiyou Club", he trains the urgently needed cloth, medicine and other materials that the New Fourth Army. the power of. Zhao Puchu served as the secretary of the Shanghai -Zhejiang Buddhist Association and had a wide range of connections in the Shanghai -Zhejiang Buddhist community.

The discussion decided that Zhao Puchu came forward to contact the abbot of Jingci Temple in Hangzhou, and introduced several Shanghai bosses to Hangzhou to do Buddhist affairs, and to do the land field. Fang Xing brought Zhao Puchu's personal letter to visit the abbot of Jingci Temple. After the contact was implemented, Liu Xiao, Liu Changsheng, Zhang Zhiyi, and Zhang Chengzong rushed to Jingci Temple.

The hosted abbot received diligently and arranged to live in an independent deep courtyard to supply the exquisite vegetarian food of the temple. The plan to discuss Buddhism in Shanghai and abbot said that they would live here for a few days. At that time, it was the summer of Jiangnan, the weather was hot, and they could not go out during the day. They could only play cards indoors. In fact, they used to cover cards as a cover to meet. Fang Xing took a 6 -year -old daughter Zhang Jisheng to play in the yard to observe the movement. After staying in Hangzhou for a week, I received the exact news from Shanghai. The climax of checking the hukou had passed, and the comrades returned to Shanghai.

Establish a fixed contact point

After this operation, the Shanghai Underground Party organization discussed with Zhao Puchu: Can you find a fixed place in Hangzhou and become a foothold and a shelter for hidden work? After thinking, Zhao Puchu was brewing a plan to go to Hangzhou to go to a charity hospital, which can secretly become a cover contact point for underground work.

In the second half of 1947, Zhao Puchu came to Hangzhou to inspect the site. He looked at Fenglin Temple near the Xiling Bridge and found that more than ten partial houses in Fenglin Temple could use it. Hospital, this discussion is understood and supported by the monk of the beam.

After more than two months of preparation, Fenglin Hospital opened at the end of 1947. The party organization deploys Comrade Wanliuyi responsible for the daily management of the hospital. Wanliu is the subordinates of Wang Zhen's troops. Comrade Wang Xinnan (Comrade Fang Xing, Secret Party member) is responsible for the connection between Shanghai and Hangzhou. Citizens nearby and fishermen and tea farmers from West Lake often come to the hospital for medical treatment. The hospital also distributed some Chinese herbal medicines for prevention. According to records, Liu Changsheng, Zhang Tuanxue, Zhang Zhiyi, Lin Guiyi, etc. went to Fenglin Hospital for "recuperation". The completion of Hangzhou Fenglin Hospital added a contact point to the hidden work of the party. Zhao Puchu was pleased. He wrote poems and recorded this meaningful thing:

Hangzhou visited the Bird's Nest Zen Master Tower. When the winter winter, the peach blossoms beside the tower had opened.

December 1947

It should be explained here that the ancient temple of Fenglin was built in the Tang and Yuan dynasties. It has a history of thousands of years. It has tied with Lingyin Temple, Jingci Temple, and Yunlou Temple. According to legend, there is a large pine tree in the temple with a bird's nest on it. The magpie gathers, and the folks call the Fenglin Temple as the magpie temple. The ancestor of Kaishan ancestor Tao Lin took care of these magpies and cares for himself. He claimed to be the Bird's Nest Zen Master. After the master was silent, there was a bird's nest Zen Master Spirit Tower. Zhao Puchu used the ancient temple partial house to build Fenglin Hospital to broadcast red seeds for underground hidden work. "In the wind and snow on all sides", in such a white horrible atmosphere, such a red shelter opened, "Who puts a red?" The historical metaphor expresses the proud and joyful mood. Hangzhou liberated on May 3, 1949. Fenglin Hospital has completed its historical task, and it has been operated by the monk of the Shi Liang for more than two years. In 1953, the Shangri -La Hotel (Hangzhou Hotel) was built in this place. In the future, the hotel continued to expand. By 1955, Fenglin Temple had been demolished, and only a few ancient trees and temples were retained.

"Mingyue Qingfeng, don't work hard"

In February 1981, Zhao Puchu, then vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and president of the Chinese Buddhist Association, inspected Fujian. At the time of return, he asked to take a rest in Hangzhou. The relevant departments arranged him to stay in the fifth floor of the Hangzhou Hotel. When he pushed the window and faced the West Lake, the camphor trees in the eyes were familiar. Isn't this the ancient camphor tree in front of Fenglin Temple? I can't help but be excited for a while, the tide is rolling, through the time of the years, the past floats up, writing poetry to aspiration:

Express Hangzhou Hotel, I feel

In the past, the doctor here is now here,

Today's high -rise buildings look at it.

Thirty -four years old acquaintance,

This cause of Zhao Puchu and Hangzhou is only one of his contributions to the revolutionary cause. But he never mentioned these past events, nor was he willing to write his biography or memoirs. "Mingyue Qingfeng, not to find it", determined to be a thorough unknown soldier. We can only capture some clues in many poems, and then restore the truth of history. His selfless character is worthy of our always remembered and learning.

Zhao Puchu ... As early as the beginning of the rescue campaign, we cooperated with him. After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, we used his Buddhist identity and social relationship to carry out peace and democratic movements, which was very effective. Especially in 1946, the Shanghai Kuomintang Police Department generally established a "police pavilion" at the streets and alleys to investigate the movement of the account. For the safety of the person in charge of the Shanghai Bureau, Zhao Puchu and Comrade Wang Xinnan came forward and opened the "Fenglin Hospital" in Fenglin Temple in Hangzhou, so that some comrades to be transferred to the place when necessary, and used "adopting illness" as a cover to make safety. In the summer of 1948, we learned from the inside intelligence that the Shanghai Police Organ will check the accounts in the city. We had to introduce Zhao Puchu to visit the Jingci Temple in Hangzhou. The peers include Liu Xiao, Liu Changsheng, Zhang Chengzong, Fang Xing, and me. Fang Xing is responsible for foreign countries.
