"Our village is just suitable for chicken forest land and slope." Li Ri'an, secretary of the Party Branch of Shuibei Village, introduced that in 2016, in order to support the development of Wenchang chicken industry, the Wenchang Municipal Government issued a related industrial development plan and set up special support funds.

"The village committee provides venues, the company provides free chicken seedlings, feed and technical services for free, farmers are responsible for breeding. The chickens are large, and the company will arrange unified acquisitions. Farmers enjoy 70%of the benefits of chicken raising, and the village collective obtains 30%of the income of 30% . "Li Ri'an said.

The development of the industry brings benefits, and the poor households in Shuibei Village in 2020 are all poverty alleviation. The empty shell village of that year has now become a demonstration village in industrial development.

After seeing the demonstration effect, the villagers scrambled to join the Wenchang chicken breeding team. Today, the "Company+Village Collective+Farmers" model has been in 15 villages in Wenchang City, which has driven more than 4,600 households and 15,600 people to increase their income.

From Shuibei Village radiation, the Wenchang chicken industry gradually became a "golden business card" in Wenchang City. In order to continue to expand the brand awareness, Wenchang City decided to take leading enterprises with potential development potential and driving capabilities as the key support targets, increase the protection of Wenchang chicken origin and registered trademark protection, and implement standardized breeding and industrialization operations.

Last year, Wenchang City invested 33.2 million yuan for Wenchang chicken industry to use the supporting transformation of the production facilities and seedlings of Wenchang chicken enterprises. At present, the Wenchang chicken industry chain is constantly improving.

In 2021, the number of Wenchang chickens in Hainan province was about 110 million, with a total output value of about 12 billion yuan, of which Wenchang City accounted for half. At present, there are 2,180 chicken farms with a scale of more than 2,000 annual outlets in the city, of which more than 1,776 are of 10,000. At the same time, there are 40 professional incubation venues, and 130 million feathers produced high -quality Wenchang chicken seedlings annually.
