He said that starting in late June, pig prices have experienced a wave of rise, and have fallen recently. From the past price trend, most years of pig prices have risen seasonally from July. From the perspective of breeding costs, the price of corn and soybean meal has continued to rise, which also has a certain role in promoting pig prices.

In addition, some time ago, as the schools and factories resumed class and resumption, social catering gradually let go, and pork consumption increased significantly, driving the price of pigs to rise rapidly. At the same time, factors such as the increase in farms (households) and secondary fertilizers, decreased pork imports, etc. also caused a decrease in pork supply, which promoted the rise in pig prices.

"In general, this round of pig prices rose mainly for recovery, seasonality rising, and superimposed some special factors, but production is sufficient. In the later period, pig prices do not have the driving force for continuous rise." Chen Guanghua said.

He explained that the current production of pigs can be at a normal and reasonable level, and it is expected that the number of pigs in the second half of the year is equivalent to the same period last year. From the perspective of the number of sows, since this year, the stocks have been in green and reasonable areas of production capacity regulation, and have been recovering for two consecutive months. From the perspective of the number of new piglets, the number in the first half of the year is equivalent to the same period last year, indicating that the number of pigs in the second half of the year will not be less than last year. From the perspective of the number of Chinese pigs, the number of Chinese pigs over May in June increased by 8%year -on -year. In July and August, the supply of pigs and pork production will increase steadily. All of the above data show that the supply of pigs in the second half of the year is guaranteed.
