This year marks the 95th anniversary of the founding army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. On July 19, 1949, the East China Military Region of the Chinese People's Liberation Army departed from Shanghai and went south to Fujian. This team is mainly composed of Shanghai young students and workers. Some of these comrades presented valuable lives to the Chinese people's liberation cause, and most of the comrades took root in the Eight Minutes, and dedicated their lives for the care of the liberation, construction, development, and reform and opening up of Fujian, and cast a monument in the eight -Fujian land.

"Average age 20.7 years"

In May 1949, Shanghai was liberated. According to the development of the situation, the Party Central Committee decided to liberate Fujian in advance, and ordered Ye Fei and Wei Guoqing to lead the Third Field Army and the Tenth Corps to quickly go south. At the same time, in order to supplement the shortcomings of cadres, it is planned to recruit a group of young students and workers to enter Fujian in Shanghai, and the first enrollment is required to recruit 1,500 people.

On June 17, the Southern Service Troupe held a meeting at the Affiliated Middle School of Datong University. The next day, the "Liberation Daily" published the "Shanghai Knowledge Youth Following the Army Southern Service Troupe" enrollment notice. In mid -June, more than 340 underground party members and anti -Chiang Patriotic Student Movements came to report first.

On June 21, the Shanghai Academic Federation held a mobilization conference on the stage of Tianbe, and more than 8,000 teachers and students from more than 300 colleges and universities in large colleges and universities participated.

In order to support the liberation of the Southwest, 2756 people were allocated to the Southwest Service Troupe, and 2150 were allocated to the southward service group.

The mother finally found some hemp and cloth strips, and it was directly demonstrated. Comrades learned very seriously, and soon condensed into a united friendship and vibrant revolutionary collective.

"Tour more than 2500 miles"

The south of the third -tenth -tenth army regiment of the Third Field Army is compiled into 4 brigades, 21 squadron, and 1 affiliated team. In addition to the distribution of weapons and equipment, there is also a strengthened company responsible for armed defense. The Ministry of the Communist Party has established a temporary party committee, and the squadrons set up party branches. After the establishment of the southward service group, we carried out anti -large -scale education and training in Shanghai, organized everyone to learn politics and military knowledge, further understand the situation, tasks and policies, improve their ideological awareness, and cultivate a hard work style and organizational discipline. At the same time, 705 people joined the new democratic youth group in Shanghai.

At dawn on July 19, the southward service group was filed with the full costumes and departed from Shanghai Jiangwan. The train had just sailed 15 kilometers. He encountered two enemy aircraft at low altitude in Xinzhuang. The locomotive and two cars bombed. 4 people died on the spot and 14 were injured.

Along the way, the enemy aircraft was constantly firing, and the air defense was repeatedly evacuated. They often encountered bandit special attacks, but they all destroyed or repelled.

Starting from Shangrao, Jiangxi, entering the whole process of marching. Everyone trek in the mountains, endure the scorching sun, hunger and fatigue, plague disease, and mosquito poisonous snake bites, etc., and sometimes marching at night.

My mother was a member of the First Division of the New Fourth Army, and deeply appreciated the role of revolutionary songs on inspiring spirit. After a few days of brewing, she wrote a "Marching Song". This song soon sang the whole regiment and became the group song of the south service group.

On August 26, when the Wuyi Mountain was turned over, the mountains were steep and the terrain was dangerous. Everyone sang "Marble Songs", especially when I sang "One Hundred Miles, I walked ninety -nine, and the victory was in front of me."

After two months of march, everyone traveled more than 2,500 miles long distances, and has been admitted to Fuzhou in mid -September.

"Dedication youth and talent"

In order to quickly improve the quality of the Fujian cadre team, the Provincial Party Committee decided to establish the Fujian People's Revolution University. On September 25, the Fujian People's Revolution University started, and some comrades of the south service group participated in the training. My parents served as the director and class teacher of the two departments of the Fujian People's Revolution University, and returned to the army after graduating from the first phase of the students. At that time, most parts of Fujian were just liberated, and some areas were not liberated. Most comrades of the south service group were assigned to all parts of the province and departments to fight hard, anti -hegemony, land reform, establishment of politics, pre -branch, restoration of the economy, anti -US aid and other hot struggles and the creation of all walks of life. Some of the talents, some even presented precious life. They and the people of Fujian have made merit to the establishment and consolidation of the new regime.

Under the care and care of the party, after decades of wind and rain, we have rooted in Fujian and comrades of the south service groups scattered all over the country. Some have grown into leading cadres.
