The total number of domestic tourism in the first half of 2022 was 1.455 billion

A few days ago, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism released the domestic tourism data in the first half of 2022. In the first half of the year, the total domestic tourism was 1.455 billion, a decrease of 22.2%over the previous year.Among them, domestic tourists in urban residents were 1.091 billion, a decrease of 16.6%; domestic tourists in rural residents were 364 million, a decrease of 35.4%.In the quarter, the number of domestic tourists in the first quarter was 830 million, a year -on -year decrease of 19.0%; the number of domestic tourists in the second quarter was 625 million, a year -on -year decrease of 26.2%.

In terms of consumption, the domestic tourism income (total tourism consumption) in the first half of the year was 1.17 trillion yuan, a decrease of 28.2%over the previous year.Among them, the tourism consumption of urban residents was 94 trillion yuan, a decrease of 26.7%; the tourism consumption of rural residents was 2.23 trillion yuan, a decrease of 33.8%.
