Chinese companies independently develop, the first train of the new Metro Line of Mexico City is departing

At 22:00 on July 18th, Beijing time, the first train of the "System+" project of Mexico City Metro Line 1 was completed in CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. This is the first rubber wheel subway train that Chinese companies have independently developed and exported overseas.
The Chinese Ambassador to Mexico Zhu Qingqiao, Lou Qiliang, president of China CRRC Group, Cao Huiquan, Secretary of the Zhuzhou Municipal Party Committee, and Mexican City Chief of Mexican Claudia Singbham attended the departure ceremony by video connection.
Mexico City is the world's largest rubber wheel subway vehicle market, and the number of rubber wheel subway vehicles exceeds 2,000 vehicles. Mexico City Metro Line 1 was operated in 1969. It has a total length of 18.83 kilometers and has 20 stations. It has been operating history for more than 50 years and urgently needs to be upgraded.
In December 2020, China CRRC obtained Mexico City Metro Line 1 overall replacement reconstruction project contract. This is the first overseas "system+" project in China CRRC. The project involves investment and financing, new vehicle manufacturing, existing vehicle communication signal systems, lines and mechanical and electrical systems, the comprehensive modernization upgrade and transformation of the electromechanical system, and the entire system maintenance. The project cycle is 19 years.
The train is 9 -section (the form of 6 movements and 3 drags), with a maximum operating speed of 80 km/h. The total length is 150.9 meters, 2.52 meters wide, and the maximum passenger capacity is 2252 people. It can meet 8%of climbing ability and 45 meters of curve radius.
The rotor of the rubber wheel subway train adopts the structure of large rubber wheels and the small rubber wheel -oriented structure, which can effectively reduce the noise generated during the operation. At the same time, the vehicle is equipped with a steel wheel as a safety wheel, which can ensure that the vehicle is running safely under extreme circumstances and achieves "dual insurance". In addition, rubber tires have better performance than steel wheel climbing, and can adapt to the local terrain conditions of Mexico.
