At about 10 am on July 7, the "Nanjing Female College Student Criminal Case" was sentenced to the first trial. His boyfriend was sentenced to death, and the other two died. The details of the case announced by the court showed that before the incident, his boyfriend had repeatedly discussed the killing plan with his associates and conducted many drills. After killing Li Mouyue, the two of them also buried the corpse.

At about 10 am on the 7th, the Jereter Court of Xishuangbanna Prefecture announced the results of the trial. Among them, the victim female college student Li Shiqian's former boyfriend Hong Yan was sentenced to death, and the other two were sentenced to death for two years.

Jimu reporters noticed that in the trial results, the court also announced some details of the case.

The court trial found that before the incident, Hong Yan had a relationship with the victim Li's lover, and the latter two conflicted, and Hong Yan had the intention to kill Li Yue. Since then, Hong Yan invited two other defendants to discuss the plan to kill Li Moyue many times.

On July 6, 2020, the three of Hong Yan and others selected Pu'er Tea Park in Erhai County, Yunnan Province in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province as the place of crimes. Later Hong Yan led two defendants to practice the killing method multiple times.

On the morning of the 9th, the other two defendants arrived in Erhai County. That night, Li Yue was deceived to the place of crime, and the two killed Li Shiyue and buried.
