In the past ten years, the people's courts have tried a total of 1.965 million cases of environmental resources, of which 244,000 criminal cases were concluded, and more than 303,000 criminals were sentenced.

Liu Zhumei, president of the Supreme People's Court, said that in the past ten years, the people's court has insisted on protecting the ecological environment with the strictest system and the most stringent system and the guarantee of the rule of law. Strictly crack down on illegal hunting, transactions, edible wildlife crimes, and trial cases involving endangered species, ecological destruction and loss of biological genetic resources in accordance with the law, strengthen judicial protection of genetic diversity, species diversity and ecosystems, and effectively maintain national ecological security , Biological safety and public hygiene.

According to Liu Zhumei, in the past ten years, the people's court has severely punished the crime of damage to ecological environment and concluded 244,000 criminal cases of environmental resources; fully rescued environmental civil rights and concluded 1.378 million civil cases of environmental resources; 343,000 cases; implementation of environmental price and damage responsibilities, and concluding 15,800 cases of environmental public interest litigation; investigating the liability for compensation for ecological environmental damage in accordance with the law, and concluding 335 cases of compensation for ecological environmental damage. A total of 1.965 million cases of environmental resources were concluded, which effectively promoted the process of the rule of law of the rule of law.

In addition, the rules of environmental resource referees are becoming increasingly perfect. Liu Zhumei mentioned that 15 judicial policy documents such as strengthening and innovative environmental resource trial work have been introduced in the new era; 21 judicial interpretations such as environmental pollution crimes, environmental infringement, and environmental public interest litigation are formulated; Judicial interpretations such as compensation to prevent the ecological environment in a timely manner with preventive and punitive judicial measures.
