Recently, Luzhou Kecheng Police killed a criminal gang that used POS money to wash money, arrested more than 70 suspects, cracked more than 100 telecommunications network fraud cases in more than 100 telecommunications network fraud in the country.

On June 30, the Criminal Investigation Center of the Kecheng Public Security Bureau received a clue that a group of merchants had abnormal POS machines. "The amount of flow of these merchants is particularly large, and it is often as high as millions of yuan within a day." The Ko Cheng police immediately set up a task force to conduct a comprehensive investigation. According to analysis and judgment, a criminal gang using POS machine to swipe money has gradually surfaced.

Police found that most members of the gang handled POS machines in the name of individual industrial and commercial households, and used the transfer of fraud funds to credit cards and POS machines to switch funds out of money. Soon, a criminal network involved in the country gradually became clear.

On July 27, the Ko Cheng police launched the first centralized arrest and captured 35 criminal suspects headed by Hong Mou, Guo and other people in Hangzhou, Luzhou and other places.

According to Hong, he and his friend Guo Mou and others are the local POS agent of Luzhou. In early 2022, in the process of selling POS machines, he accidentally discovered "business opportunities" -the use of registration to handle POS machines and help fraudulent gang settlement.

Driven by interests, Hongmou, Guo, and others began to "find live" on the overseas network, and "recruited soldiers and horses" among peers and merchants. Hong Mou also explained that they often gathered "brushing hands" late at night, to farmhouses, homestays, or completing POS money laundering transactions in mobile vehicles.

After interrogation and preliminary investigation, the project organized a number of centralized arrests and arrested more than 30 suspects in Luzhou, Lishui, Suzhou and other places.

During the handling of the case, the police also found that many citizens were involved in this scam due to their inadequate management and weak security prevention awareness of personal bank cards.

Gang members, Xiao Mou, knew Hong and Guo many years ago, and later joined the gang. Because Xiao Mou's personal credit reporting had problems, he could not handle bank cards or POS machines, so he had a clever machine and used his wife Qiu to apply for POS machine and bank card, and successively laundered more than 100,000 yuan. It wasn't until the police captured Qiu that she knew that her husband had killed her.

Aunt Yang, a single divorce, knew the man Jin on a blind date website and had a good opinion of him. Aunt Yang did a small business and wanted to borrow from the bank, but because the amount of flow was small, there was no way. After hearing it, Jin said that he could help brush the water and realize the loan. After listening to Jin's words, Aunt Yang gave her bank card number and password to the other party. I did not expect that the account was actually used for money laundering.

Police reminded: Do not sell, rent, and borrow your own bank cards and telephone cards at will. Pay attention to protecting personal identity information and avoid becoming an accomplice to be a criminal unknowingly.
