At the same time, Lao Rongzhi and his defender had objections to the jurisdiction of the case and were rejected by the court.

Earlier, on September 9, 2021, the Nanchang Intermediate People's Court in Jiangxi Province publicly sentenced the defendant to the defendant's intentional homicide, robbery, kidnapping crime, counting crimes and punishment. And confiscate all personal property. After the pronouncement of the first trial, Lao Rongzhi appealed in court.

Nanchang Intermediate Court reviewed that the defendant Lao Rongzhi and Fa Ying (have already judged another case) were the relationship between couples. From 1996 to 1999, the two conspired and divided together. Lao Rongzhi was engaged in serving services in an entertainment venue. The object of the case was used to implement violence by Fa Ying. The robbery, abduction, and intentional homicide of Hefei City, Anhui Province. After the incident, Lao Rongzhi absconded with a pseudonym such as "Shirley" and was arrested and brought to justice by public security personnel on November 28, 2019.
